The Eastern Shore Family Resource Association is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. The association began with a Community Health Promotion Fund grant in 1994. We provide programs and services for families along the Eastern Shore from Lawrencetown/Lake Echo to Sheet Harbour. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the programs and services we offer. We look forward to hearing from you.

We often ask someone, "How are you?'.

The reply is usually, "I'm okay".

What is "okay"?

Okay is one of the words we use most often.

In this case they mean the adjective form - satisfactory but not exceptionally or especially good.

On the other hand, we often use the verb form - to sanction or to give approval.

This is especially important these days.
