The Eastern Shore Family Resource Association (ESFRA), funded by the Department of Opportunities and Social Development, provides programs and services for families, parents, and children within our catchment area (Lawrencetown/Lake Echo to Lower East Ship Harbour).
As part of our funding obligations, we must adhere to the Standards and Guidelines for Parent and Child Interactive Programs. ESFRA has always worked to ensure our groups offer consistent, high-quality activities. Beginning January 2026, we are updating our policies to reflect these requirements.
Childcare Provider Participation
Childcare providers will be limited to one spot per program.
Each provider may bring a maximum of three children in their care.
This applies to all registered and weekly drop-in programs, including Wee Bears, Playdates, and similar sessions.
Family Profiles Requirement
Families are encouraged to update or create profiles on our website platform.
Parents/guardians will be required to create a family profile for each child if the child is attending with someone other than their parent/guardian.
This update strengthens our risk management process and ensures the safety and well-being of all children.
