Breast Pump Loan Program

Breast Pump 

                       Loan Program

 

 

ESFRA encourages breastfeeding families by offering a breast pump loan service. On site are two hospital grade breast pumps that can be loaned out for a period of four weeks. Medela pump kits can be purchased at a cost of 25.00. Feeding support is offered to all  mothers on site, by phone, and one on one at home. Connect with us for information on feeding your baby now and as they grow.

Car Seat Safety Inspection

The Association collaborates with the community of Child Passenger Safety Technicians, IWK Child Safety Link, RCMP, and Family Resource Centres to educate/support parents to fully understand the law and best practices to keep families safe on the road. ESFRA offers information in a one on one setting as well as in groups. Resources, Car Seat Clinics and certified inspections are provided FREE to the community and surrounding areas. Please contact the centre to learn about how our certified technician can support you.

Parent Resource Library

Parent Resource Library

A service which links families with a Certified Canadian Family Life Educator for help, support, or information and referral. In-home, on-site or phone support is availiable.We have a variety of books for families to borrow on topics such as pregnancy, parenting, language development, early literacy, cookbooks, breast-feeding and much, much more! Books can be borrowed for up to 2 weeks. If you need more time with a title, just call the centre to let us know you would like to extend the borrowing time. We accept book donations especially on parenting issues and children's stories. So if you're cleaning out the closets we'd be glad to add them to our shelves!

Trading Cupboard

ESFRA's Trading Cupboard program has encompassed a variety of items over the last few years. Depending on the donations or funding received, our Cupboard may contain: food items, school supplies, hand sanitizer, Covid-19 tests, or other miscellaneous items. 

Special funding has been received towards food security for 2022-23 with help from the United Way (in conjunction with The Province of NS & TD Bank), Telus Friendly Future Foundation® and Cobs Bread Tacoma.
