- Great Expectations Prenatal
ESFRA’s Great Expectations program is an 8-week prenatal program for pregnant women and their support person at no cost for the community. This fun and informative program supports parents to-be in preparing for the arrival of their new baby. We provide healthy snacks at each session. Please inform us of any nutritional needs and/or sensitivities etc. Each session offers a variety of material, activities, videos and guest speakers in a relaxed environment. Registration includes yourself & your support person.

An interactive Early Learning program focusing on the ages of 1-3 years old. This program requires participation by parents/caregivers with their child(ren). Sessions include free play, snack, craft, circle time, stories and songs. Children registered with siblings under 1 may attend and will need a ticket. Families with only babes under 1 must call the Centre to register at 902-827-1461. Third Thursday of the month there is no program.

An interactive Early Learning program for parents/caregivers and child(ren) between the ages of 3-5 years old. This limited program focuses on teaching children the basic skills needed for reading in a fun, engaging way. 1 ticket per child is required & valid for the September - January sessions.

A program bringing new parents together to share and learn more about their babies growth, behavior, and other needs. Participation is available until the child reaches eighteen (18) months of age. Enjoy 45 minutes of open play with fun equipment like slides, tunnels, musical toys, and more—plus a special group circle time with songs, dancing, and instruments.
- Kids 'n' Elders at the Birches
Kids 'N Elders is an inter-generational fun & social weekly playgroup. Parents/caregivers and children, ages 0-5 years, join senior residents, from the local Birches Home for Special Care, at their site. Sessions include free play, snack, craft, circle time, stories and songs.
- Coffee Connection - Porter's Lake
A registered drop-in program for parents/caregivers and child(ren) between the ages of 1-5 years old. Parents and caregivers can enjoy a selection of coffee, tea and treats while the children are in a supervised area with our facilitators. Children registered with siblings under 1 may attend with caregivers in lounge but not participate in the childcare room.

Wee Bears (Ages 1-3): Wee Bears is an Early Learning Parent/Caregiver and Child Interactive program for children aged 1-3 years, designed to enhance the parent-child connection through age-appropriate activities. Our signature program has provided quality early learning opportunities for families on the Eastern Shore since January 2000. Sessions include free play, snack, craft, circle time, stories and songs.
