Rooted Paths: Brain Development Workshop

A 1.5 hour in-person neuroscience-informed workshop for parents, caregivers, and expectant parents.

ESFRA Porter's Lake, Suite 203

Program Description

Rooted Paths: Infant & Parent Brain Development Session A 1.5 hour in-person neuroscience-informed workshop for parents, caregivers, and expectant parents. Rooted Paths is a gentle introduction to early brain development, offering parents a clear understanding of how nurturing relationships shape the growing brain from the very beginning. Guided by our Nurture Neuroscience Practitioner Tracy Cowan, this workshop blends science with practical, compassionate insight you can bring into daily life. Together, we explore how the infant brain develops, how parents’ brains change too, and why connection, co-regulation, and responsive care lay the foundation for emotional wellbeing and resilience. What We’ll Cover How the infant brain develops in the early years and why this stage matters The three core “layers” of the brain and how they work together How nurturing interactions support emotional regulation and mental health How your own brain changes during parenthood, and why your wellbeing matters Simple, nurturing practices that support connection for both you and your baby You’ll leave feeling grounded and confident, with a compassionate understanding of your baby’s needs, and your own. This is not about doing things “perfectly,” but about knowing how powerful everyday connection truly is. Perfect For Parents and caregivers of infants (0–3 years) Expecting parents preparing to welcome their baby Anyone wanting a warm, science-backed look at early brain development
