Kinder Bears is an early learning, school preparedness program for children age 4 + (children must be 4 yrs by December 31st of that program year). Kinder Bears is offered side-by-side with our very successful Wee Bears program. Parents and younger siblings are on-site, attending Wee Bears, while older children attend Kinder Bears in an adjacent room.
The Kinder Bears program places a greater emphasis on literacy
and early learning to enhance school readiness skills. Children are encourged to 'sign in' and choose books to borrow
from our program room library thus promoting independent learning & ownership of the program.
Our programs & services are offered at no charge to the community. Please note registration is required.
When & Where
The Kinder Bears program is currently offered once per week at our Family Centre in Porter's Lake.
- Mondays 9:30-11:30
Our time together
Program length: 2 hours
• Arrival & Free play
• Snack
• Creative experience (art, drama & music)
• Clean up
• Circle Time includes stories, puppets, games, songs, poems & fingerplays
