What We do
The Eastern Shore Family Resource Association offers a variety of programs, services & one on one support to meet the needs of families along the Eastern Shore. Historically our programs focused on early childhood development through parent/caregiver and child interactive playgroups, family literacy, school readiness opportunities & parent education workshops. Recently, we have expanded our range of programs & services to include pre-natal families and families with children up to age 16 years.
Our programs & services are offered at no charge to the community.
funding sources
We presently receive funding from the NS Department of Community Services (DCS) under the Family & Youth Services Division, the United Way of Halifax Region, Capital Health, the Family Learning Initiative Endowment Fund (FLIEF), the Communtiy Health Board, + donations (monetary & in-kind) from ESFRA families & the Community.
